1. The fast way — in the app
Open textRay and go to Settings → Delete account, then confirm. That's it. Deletion happens immediately: your account, your uploaded conversations, and your reports are removed from our servers, and any data cached on your device is cleared. Unused credits expire with the account and are not refundable (Apple and Google handle payment refunds separately — see our terms).
2. Don't have the app any more?
You don't need to reinstall anything. Email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my account", from the email address (or describing the Apple/Google sign-in) you used with textRay. We'll verify it's really you, delete the account, and confirm by reply — within one month at the outside, usually much sooner.
3. What gets deleted, and what we keep
- Deleted: your account and sign-in identity, your uploaded conversations and confirmed imports, and every report in your history.
- Kept where the law requires it: transaction records for purchases (tax and accounting rules), retained only as long as legally necessary.
- Analytics events: usage events are pseudonymous (a random ID — never your name, email, or any conversation content) and are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted, as described in our privacy policy.
4. Just want one report gone?
You don't have to delete the whole account. Deleting a report inside the app deletes the server copy immediately, along with its import.
